The new Comanchero boss has been hit with a serious crime prevention order that would see him banned from associating with any other bikie in NSW.
Allan Meehan nabbed the group’s top position just last week and is already firmly in NSW Police’s sights after being zoned in on by the Criminal Groups Squad.
The news was delivered to Mr Meehan by a police doorknock at his Yerrinbool home in the Southern Highlands on Friday morning.
He has not been charged with any offence.
As part of the serious crime prevention order, Mr Meehan would be banned from associating with any bikie or crime figure and have his life controlled down to what phone he uses or what clothes he can wear.
NSW Police snapped pictures of the potential action being taken which show Mr Meehan outside his home in a dressing gown and slippers as he was confronted by cops.
Criminal Groups Squad Commander Superintendent Grant Taylor said the orders were aimed to crackdown on any movements by the Comanchero or similar groups.
“He has become a primary target of the NSW Police Force and this is just one method of targeting him,” he told Saturday Telegraph.
“We want to send a clear message. If you’re going to be the national president of the Comanchero, this is what you can expect.”
The powers were crafted in 2016 and are designed to crack down on organised crime.
Mr Meehan, 35, joined the Rebels when he was just 18, becoming a chapter president in Cronulla before defecting to the Comanchero.
He gradually rose through the ranks, becoming commander of the Canberra chapter in early 2021 and later leading the Sydney collective before his latest nationwide role.
