Quinta Brunson wore YSL at the SAG Awards: old Hollywood glam?

Last year Abbott Elementary won the SAG for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, but this year The Bear took home that category. Quinta Brunson was also up for Best actress in a comedy series, which went to Ayo Edebiri. (Quinta got her second Emmy this year though!) Abbott Elementary is so popular that it could go ten seasons easily so I’m sure they’ll have plenty more chances for awards. I was thinking about that as I saw the Modern Family cast on stage. Abbott follows the teachers and does not rely on young stars not aging either.

Quinta was in a gorgeous YSL little black strapless gown accented by Yvan Tufenkjian jewelry. The jewelry really makes this look and her hair and makeup people are so good.

The SAGs had a fun vibe this year on Netflix and part of that was the lack of commercials. They filled that space with backstage interviews with the winners along with a really fascinating segment of Lisa Ann Walter talking and meeting people while wearing a mic on the carpet at the SAGs. It was fascinating hearing her talk to her costars and meet Robert Downey Jr! She was in a sexy black Michael Costello cutout gown with rhinestone accents. The other guy she is with in the picture below is SAG’s chief negotiator, Duncan Crabtree-Ireland. I bet he had a hand in getting the SAGs on Netflix!

Sheryl Lee Ralph was working it in a black formfitting Waad Aloqaili gown with an asymmetric bodice. Her daughter Coco styles her and Sheryl is so proud of her! She should be, she always looks amazing.

Rachel Brosnahan was also nominated in Quinta’s category. Her show, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, wrapped last year after five seasons. She has SAGs for Best Actress from 2019, along with Comedy Ensemble SAGs from 2019 and 2020. Rachel wore a bronze metallic multi-tiered Tamara Ralph gown that makes her look like a bad 1970s Christmas ornament. She often veers fug in her fashion though.
